Description
Beautiful Steel Ketch Rigged Sailing Yacht Custom - Collingwood Transocean 55 Designed by Bill Dixon for the previous owners, Joy was built in steel by Croft Marine and fitted out by Collingwood Yachts at Shamrock Quay in Southampton, UK. Launched in 1995 she was refitted between 2003-2007 with a redesigned interior layout, new engine, genset, watermaker, electronics, hydraulics and bow thruster, booms, fixed rigging and running rigging. The present owners have upgraded and added many features to allow extensive and self-sufficient cruising which include new touchscreen Raymarine chart plotters and digital radar, AIS, Iridium Pilot communication system, davits to lift and secure the tender and a large solar array with wind turbine. All controls come back to the deep centre cockpit which means short handed sailing is not a problem. The interior is fitted out in maple with teak trim, the raised saloon provides panoramic views from inside, a well equipped galley includes a double sink, gimballed four burner hob and oven and a domestic size washer/dryer. The spacious aft owners stateroom has a centreline queen size bed, large wardrobes and an ensuite bathroom complete with bath, with two guest cabins forward which have a separate heads.
